The IT Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of IT SOX controls across our organization. This role involves conducting audits, identifying risks, and implementing controls to safeguard our IT infrastructure and support our compliance with SOX regulations. Your contributions will drive significant impact by ensuring the integrity and reliability of our financial reporting systems.

This position reports to the Senior IT Compliance Officer in Denmark and is part of the Global IT Compliance department. This position is located in Kraków at our Danaher sister Company Cytiva and will be an on-site role. You will be sparring with the Cytiva SOX IT team around best practices.

You will be working together with the ERP team, the IT Security team and the IT infrastructure team as well as rest of the IT organization.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Implement and maintain IT SOX controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of IT SOX controls, identify weaknesses, and recommend improvements.

  • Review of completeness and accuracy, assessment of IPE and supporting evidence.

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate IT SOX audits and ensure timely resolution of any findings.

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to IT SOX controls, including policies, procedures, and audit reports.

  • Provide training and guidance to IT and business stakeholders on IT SOX compliance requirements.

  • Monitor IT systems and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with SOX controls.

  • Explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT compliance, IT SOX controls, and auditing IT SOX controls.

  • Strong understanding of SOX regulations and IT general controls.

  • Strong Technical aptitude – can review and understand technical documentation presented as evidence.

  • Experience with IT audit methodologies and practices.

  • Proficiency in using GRC applications and audit tools and software.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel on occasions, no more than 5%.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Working within a global or multinational organization.

  • Familiarity with other regulatory compliance frameworks like NIS2, GDPR or ISO 27001.
