RECREATION ASSISTANT I\ 16 years or older\ Pay: \$11.00-13.00/hr.
PARK & FACILITY MAINTENANCE I\ 16 years or older\ Pay: \$12.73-14.73/hr.
PARK & FACILITY MAINTENANCE II\ 18 years or older\ Pay: \$14.04-16.04/hr.\ \ PARK & FACILITY MAINTENANCE III\ 18 years or older\ Pay: \$15.48-17.48/hr.
Duties:
Recreation Assistant I:\ o Lead & engage campers in a variety of fun games, sports, & outdoor adventures.\ o Ensure the safety & well-being of campers & facilitate a welcoming environment.\ o Assist in the setup & cleanup of activities & provide extra supervision during transport.
Park & Facility Maintenance (Levels I to III):\ o Participate in the maintenance of the Lakewood Discovery Centers beautiful grounds & facilities.\ o Engage in tasks such as planting, trail upkeep, wildlife surveys, & more.\ o Conduct custodial duties to ensure clean & welcoming environments.\ o Execute minor repairs & maintenance tasks on various equipment.
Qualifications:
Recreation Assistant I:\ o Minimum educational requirement: Eighth-grade graduate.\ o Desire to work with youth & previous camp experience preferred.
Park & Facility Maintenance (Levels I to III):\ o High school diploma or equivalent for Level II & III positions.\ o Experience in landscaping, maintenance, or in similar roles is advantageous.\ o Ability to lift 40 pounds & work in varying weather conditions.
Requirements & Desired Qualifications for All Positions:
Must have a valid drivers license (17+)
Must pass background checks.
Reliable transportation to & from work.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.
Strong communication skills & the ability to follow instructions.
CPR & First Aid certifications are a plus.

Monday Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from May to August.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays (i.e. Memorial Weekend, Fourth of July, Labor Day Weekend) & special events (i.e.\ Smoky Hill River Festival, private parties).
