Software Development Team Leader

Lionbridge is seeking a talented individual to work as a Software Development Team Leader to join our OPI engineering Team who are responsible for building our currently experiencing significant growth Interpretations platform. What You Will Do * *

• Assist, direct, and train team members.

• Retain high value contributors.

• Promote and facilitate collaboration within the team and the organization.

• Establish performance goals for team members and track progress.

• Consider the big picture and long-term goals when making architectural choices.

• Design and architect a proper solution while avoiding over-engineering.

• Exercise agile best practices when making design decisions and formulating implementation strategies.

• Maintain uptime of the production systems.

• Manage and lead the teams in monitoring, managing, and maintaining the running operational systems.

• Help prioritize the backlog.

• Attend sprint planning and stand-ups.

• Set expectations to internal and external stakeholders.

• Communicate delays and scope changes.

   

To Be Successful You Will Have

• 8+ years of experience developing full-stack web-based software using .Net Framework and .Net Core.

• 3+ years of experience with Angular or similar. Experience with mobile applications development is a plus.

• Knowledge of monolith, microservice architectures and architecture patterns and styles applicable to the distributed systems.

• Working experience in building distributed systems and cloud-based solutions.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud platform (or similar).

• Curiosity around being involved in building scalable and performant technology solutions.

• Understanding of the importance of code reviews and use them in your current role.

• Experience with and currently using Test Driven Development.

• Understanding of software development lifecycle, major software development disciplines, and experience of work with Agile iterative development processes.

• Ability to lead a team effectively, hiring, managing, and mentoring junior developers.

• Good verbal and written English communication.
